The
MEDIEVAL
TILES
is inspired by patterns found upon clay floor tiles from the 13th to 16th
centuries
It was during this medieval period that tiles were most popular. Most of the clays used to make
them were rich in iron minerals giving the tiles a brick red tone.
The colors for the Medieval Tiles pattern have been taken from needlework of this period.
The model is stitched on Sand Castle Jobelan (available from the Orders Page) using two strands
of floss over two fabric threads.
Approximate design size (121 x 121 stitches):
7.75" x 7.75" on 32 count linen
8.75" x 8.75" on 28 count linen
The pattern has four pages. The backstitching chart is shown seperately upon the reverse of each page.
This design is only available as a chart pack.
Price: $12.00
